Author of Surfing the Black Wave: Brand Leadership in the Digital Age, Dan brings 30 years of brand experience consulting for national leaders in healthcare, retail food, wellness and entertainment. In addition to his healthcare consulting with GHG, Dan is the founder of Daniel Brian Advertising, a nationally leading healthcare branding agency.
In the late ‘90s, DBA syndicated hundreds of the first prime time TV documentaries accompanied by an online physician engagement platform for hospitals across the country, including Henry Ford Health System, Penn Health Care, Cincinnati Children’s Hospital, Valley Children's Healthcare and Uhealth.
Introducing social media apps to the retail industry in 2006, Dan holds a patent on media streaming technology used to launch these programs online, including live chats with doctors during the show. Based on this platform, Dan co-developed the social media technology, including Partners Hub, inventing the influencer engagement platform for Disney and generating 300 million organic page views for Warner Bros. “The Hobbit.”
Dan's brand consulting and innovations have been used for brands including Gerber Baby Food, Quicken Loans, Allegra, WholeFoods and the University of Michigan.

Dan often teaches advertising students at his alma mater, Michigan State University as well as graduate classes at Oakland University and Wayne State.
Dan is an international keynote speaker for leadership conferences, as well as being a highly ranked speaker at the Society for Healthcare Strategy & Market Development (SHSMD) and Greystone Digital Healthcare Education for Hospitals (HCIC).
